not so long ago

when I said

I wouldn’t let anyone

control me

but not anymore

it wasn’t really

a conscious decision

to let you take over

but it’s clear

that you have

you influence my every thought

every word that comes out of my mouth

I make every decision based on

what you would do

or say

you live inside my head

will you ever go away?

but you are the air

the sky,

the grass and trees

you’re everything

the world

my world

and I can’t get away

day and night

I can’t be without you

and I don’t want to know
